Abstract: Background: Polyethylene fiber reinforcement offers a novel approach to managing large posterior composite restorations, especially in high C-factor cavities. Case Report: This report discusses a case of a 13-year-old female with deep occlusal caries on tooth no. 36 and a 25 year old female with secondary caries under an old amalgam restoration. The tooth was restored using Ribbond reinforcement under composite. The step-by-step technique involved selective etching, bonding, Ribbond placement, incremental....

Abstract: Implants can be utilized similarly to natural teeth to support various types of dental restorations, including single crowns, bridges, fixed-removable prostheses and overdentures. The resulting structure is referred to as a superstructure, which may be entirely implant-supported or supported by both implants and natural teeth that are commonly known as hybrid or tooth/implant-borne restorations. Superstructures are connected to implants by abutments, with angled abutments often employed to achieve parallelism and a single path of insertion, especially when multiple implants are involved.....

Abstract: Peripheral Ossifying Fibroma (POF) is a reactive gingival lesion of periodontal ligament origin, commonly seen in the anterior maxilla of young females and rarely in the posterior mandible. This report describes a unique presentation of POF in the posterior mandible of an female in her fifth decade, associated with tooth migration and radiographic calcifications. Its unusual location, size, and clinical behaviour challenged the conventional profile of POF and highlight the importance of considering this entity in the differential diagnosis of posterior gingival enlargements. Complete surgical excision with peripheral ostectomy remains the treatment of choice to minimize recurrence in this case. At six-month follow-up, healing was uneventful with no recurrence. It emphasizes the diagnostic challenges posed by such presentations and the importance of thorough excision with adjunctive ostectomy to minimize recurrence.

Abstract: Background: Successful endodontic treatment in primary teeth relies heavily on effective elimination of pathogenic microorganisms, particularly Streptococcus mutans and Enterococcus faecalis, which are commonly implicated in persistent root canal infections. Metapex, a calcium hydroxide and iodoform-based paste, is widely used as an obturating material due to its resorbable and antimicrobial properties. However, limitations in its spectrum of antimicrobial action have led to the exploration of enhanced formulations. Nanotechnology-based additives such as Nanosilverfluoride and Chitosan have shown promising antibacterial effects due to their high surface area and sustained release capabilities.....

Abstract: Background: Direct composite veneers provide a minimally invasive and cost-effective solution for aesthetic rehabilitation, yet freehand sculpting techniques demand high clinician skill and chairside time. Methods: This case series presents three patients treated with template-guided direct composite veneering using Myveneer templates. A standardized protocol was followed, including shade selection, enamel etching, bonding, and composite placement.....

Abstract: Sanskrit, one of the oldest languages in India, forms the foundation of classical Ayurvedic texts. Ayurveda, the "science of life," is a holistic Indian medical system in which knowledge is primarily transmitted through Sanskrit shlokas. Among Ayurvedic subjects, Kriya Sharira is fundamental, focusing on the physiological functions of the body, mind, and senses. First-year BAMS students often struggle with understanding and memorizing Sanskrit.....
