Abstract: Introduction: COVID 19 is new pandemic disease .it mainly affects respiratory system but can affect many other system in human body. Gastrointestinal system has been found to be affected in many patients. Gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms were very common in patients with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). It is unclear if the presence of GI symptoms is associated with poor outcomes in COVID-19. We aim to assess GI symptoms and their outcome and severity in covid 19 patients. it could be used for prognostication in hospitalized patients with COVID-19.......

Abstract: Background: Chronic liver disease (CLD) is a progressive deterioration of liver functions for more than six months, which includes synthesis of clotting factors, other proteins, detoxification of harmful products of metabolism, and excretion of bile. CLD is a continuous process of inflammation, destruction, and regeneration of liver parenchyma, which leads to fibrosis and cirrhosis. For predicting prognosis of end-stage liver disease and severity, various prognostic models are...

Abstract: Introduction: Renal sinus lesions are a diagnostic challenge due to overlapping imaging features of renal pelvis strictures and parapelvic cysts. Differentiating them is important, as they have various clinical implications and management. Strictures cause obstructive uropathy. Parapelvic cysts are usually benign, non-communicating fluid collections that can mimic obstruction on imaging. Aim: To evaluate and differentiate renal pelvis strictures from parapelvic cysts using ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and magnetic resonance urography.......

Abstract: Christ-Siemens-Touraine syndrome (CST syndrome), also known as Anhidrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia (AED) or Hypohidrotic Ectodermal Dysplasia (HED), is the most common form of ectodermal dysplasia (ED). It is a congenital and hereditary condition caused by mutations in the genes of the ectodysplasin/NF-kappa B signaling pathway, which are necessary for the proper development of several ectodermal structures including teeth, nails.......

Abstract: Background: Locally advanced breast cancer (LABC) remains a significant clinical burden, especially in low- and middle-income countries where late presentation is common. Neoadjuvant chemotherapy (NACT) is a key component of treatment, aimed at tumor downstaging and improving surgical outcomes. This study evaluates the clinical and pathological response to NACT in LABC, along with associated toxicities. Materials and Methods: This prospective observational study was conducted at Assam Medical College and Hospital over a one-year period, including 40 female patients with histologically confirmed LABC. Patients received either the ACT.........

Abstract: Background: Portal hypertension is a routinely observed clinical condition that develops due to various hepatic and extrahepatic conditions. The main objective of this study is to assess the hepatic parenchyma and spectrum of vascular hemodynamic changes in patients with portal hypertension using Duplex ultrasonography before and after beta blocker (i.e. Propranolol). Ultrasonography plays an important role in the diagnosis and follows up of Portal hypertension patients. Materials and Methods: In this.........

Abstract: Liver abscess is collection of pus in the liver parenchyma. It can be amoebic or pyogenic. Amoebic liver abscess (ALA) is the most commonly seen extra intestinal manifestation of Entamoeba infection.[1] The presentation includes wide spectrum depicting pathology from asymptomatic carrier state to dysentery to fulminant colitis or liver abscess and colonic perforation. The trophozoites penetrate the intestinal mucosal layer causing amoebic colitis which is carried along the portal circulation to produce liver abscess and this abscess may rupture into peritoneal, pericardial........

Abstract: Background: The effectiveness of complete dentures diminishes over time due to alveolar ridge resorption, mucosal changes, and wear of denture materials. These changes lead to loss of retention, stability, and patient comfort, necessitating corrective measures. Denture relining serves as conservative alternatives to full denture replacement, aiming to restore fit and function while preserving occlusal relationships and esthetics.

Abstract: Acute pancreatitis typically manifests as epigastric pain accompanied by elevated serum pancreatic enzymes. It exhibits a wide clinical and radiological spectrum, ranging from mild interstitial or oedematous inflammation to severe necrotizing forms accompanied by substantial local and systemic complications. Acute pancreatitis is a potentially lethal disease in certain circumstances, so early detection and severity assessment are necessary to prevent complications and reduce mortality. Computed tomography......
