Abstract: In India, energy poverty is still a major problem that disproportionately affects underprivileged groups including religious minorities, Scheduled Castes (SCs), and Scheduled Tribes (STs). Disparities in energy access continue because of institutional, socioeconomic, and geographic obstacles, even in spite of governmental measures like Saubhagya and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. This paper investigates how social inclusion might help reduce energy poverty by ensuring that everyone has equitable access to modern energy services.
