Abstract: One feature of the modern corporation is the separation of ownership from management. The separation was facilitated by the advent of scientific management in the early 20th Century.A major fall out of this development is the principal-agent problem. The challenge here concerns how owners of the business would ensure that managers do not pursue goals and objectives that are different from those of the promoters......
