Abstract: The social science learning implementation tends to use traditional or conventional approach still. It does not utilize teaching materials based on Macromedia Flash. The goal of social science learning is only focused on cognitive aspect and ignores social skills. It has not given maximum opportunity to students to develop their creativity so that the students are not maximally interesting in learning. Consequently, students feel bored in social science learning which results in low quality of school outcomes and low quality of education. The purpose of the research is to produce a valid, practical, and effective social science teaching materials based on Macromedia flash for elementary school students. This research was a research and development with some procedures.........

Abstract: The globalization discourse where the generalized expression: the advances of the global society are given in an egalitarian form for all the regions, results in contradiction with the unequal impact of the globalization processes in countries with different level of economical development and cultural settings. These particularities define specific necessities in the cultural and educational environment according to a conceptualization of the cosmopolitan citizen that confront the hegemonic modern social imaginaries. The construction of an international curriculum in the context of a Mexican university needs to clarify the nature of the individual, in order to decide what kind of person the school wants to form.

Abstract: Introduction: Radiation has become a part of modern living, reaching every piece of our civilization. All individuals are exposed to ionizing radiation, both from natural and man-made radiation sources. In these days use of medical imaging has increased, due to rapid improvements in technology. Long-term exposure or high doses of ionizing radiation have potentially harmful biological effects, when used in medical imaging procedures. Objectives: assess the level of awareness about the radiation health hazards and possible risks caused by radiological examinations among Albaha citizens............

Abstract: The aim of the study was to examine the improvementof deaf and hard of hearing students' understanding of Disaster Mitigation material using Tsunami museum as learning resources and to investigate the students' characters after exposed to Disaster Mitigation material. The population of the study was 15 BUKESRASecondary Special Need School students year X-B. The data was collected through written test consists of 20 disaster mitigation questions and questionnaire about students' characteristics delivered twice during the study. The data was analyzed using percentage formula. The result of the study indicated that there was 30 % of improvement of the students' understanding toward disaster mitigation materials. It is also found that the students' characters were also increased in term of self-confidence, independent, logical thinking, responsibility, and care. It is concluded that there was an improvement of students' understanding in learning disaster mitigation in Tsunami museum. Moreover, the students' characters are found better in term of self-confidence, independent, logical thinking, responsibility, and care after exposed to the materials.

Abstract: The critical thinking ability is one of the high-level thinking ability that must need to have by the students in solving the problems of learning in daily life. The aimed of this study is to determine the effectiveness of problem in based learning model particularly in improving the critical thinking of the student's ability. This study included quasi experiments with pretest-posttest control group design. Respondents of this study were 123 students that divided into two classes, experimental class and control class. To analysis the data, this study utilized the N-Gain test. The results showed that the improvement of the experimental class is much higher than the control class. Therefore, based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the problem of based learning model was an effective way in improving the critical thinking of the student's ability in the setting of teaching learning process.

Abstract: Performance appraisal (P.A) is being seen as an important tool in performance management of teachers and educators all over the World. In Kenya, even though the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has introduced performance appraisal in public primary schools, its uptake by teachers' seems sluggish. Studies indicate that P.A can be effective and efficient only if it is properly applied and owned by teachers (appraisees). This study sought to establish the compliance status of performance appraisal in public primary schools in Gilgil Sub-County in Kenya. The study found that school's compliance status with Teacher Performance Appraisal and Development (TPAD) Programme is fairly and positively correlated with performance appraisal and performance appraisal feedback, and is strongly and positively correlated with performance appraisal evaluation..
