ABSTRACT: Agropastoralism is still a major livelihood system in many semi-arid parts of sub-Saharan Africa due to existing challenges occasioned by resource constraints and climatic variability. In Gombe State, Nigeria, several settled agropastoralist communities engage in diversified livelihood strategies as a means of coping with mounting socioeconomic stressors, declining farm productivity, and environmental degradation. This study analysed livelihood diversification.....

ABSTRACT: False codling moth (Thaumatotibia leucotreta, FCM) is a significant pest affecting floriculture worldwide, including Kenya. A new aerosol-based sprayable pheromone, 'aTTraps All Rounder-FCM,' manufactured by Green Vision Life Sciences Pvt Ltd, Pune, India, was evaluated for its effectiveness in mass trapping of FCM in Hypericum and Gypsophila crops. Compared to traditional FCM lures, 'aTTraps All Rounder-FCM' demonstrated double the trapping efficacy and maintained effectiveness for up to two months, whereas traditional lures lasted only 15 days.

ABSTRACT: Cattle feeding practices in the peri-urban area of the city of Bouaké were analyzed through a field survey of cattle breeders along the Bouake-Katiola, Bouake-Satama, Bouake-M’Bahiakro, Bouake-Sakassou, Bouake-Béoumi and Bouake- Botro roads. Thirty-eight breeders were subjected to a questionnaire on the social aspects of breeders, breeding practices, available food resources, and health practices and livestock exploitation. In terms of social aspects, these breeders have an average age of 40 years and 92.1% of them are Muslim. They are 36.8% breeders and 36.8% traders. Cattle fattening represents the type of breeding most practiced by breeders (65.8%). The breed......

ABSTRACT: Background: The cultivation Gallus turcicus is a business with high potential as a supplier of eggs and meat in Indonesia. The high productivity of chickens, growth and relatively easy maintenance process are also the reasons why chickens are in great demand by the community, especially the people of Lombok. The main problem that becomes a challenge in the process of chickens cultivation is the emergence of diseases that attack the health of chickens, especially the health of the digestive system that can interfere with the absorption of nutrients, feed consumption, growth and productivity of chickens.......

ABSTRACT: This study systematically compared the development of the sweet corn industry in China and the United States. In the U.S., sweet corn planted area and yield decreased by 47.2% and 27.9% respectively from 2000 to 2023. Over 70% of sweet corn cultivated is allocated for processing, a figure that has been on the rise. The price of fresh sweet corn has surged by 119.2%. Since 2015, U.S. sweet corn exports have decreased by 18.5% in volume and 4.3% in value, while imports have increased by 63.5% in volume and 115.7% in value, almost tripling the amount in 2005. In contrast, China had a tenfold rise in yield and a threefold increase in planted area. The sweet corn planting zones have expanded nationwide, with the market predominantly driven by fresh consumption.......

ABSTRACT: Summary Due to growing demographics, urban development, and rising food prices, meat consumption is expected to increase by 70% by 2050. Thus, expanding livestock production will require a corresponding increase in feed production, including pork. However, the major problem with pig speculation is feed, which covers 50% to 70% of production costs. Protein sources, including soybean meal, are scarce and expensive in the markets of the Democratic Republic of Congo......
