ABSTRACT: Wheat (Triticum aestivum L) is the most extensively grown cereal crop in the world, covering about 237 million hectares annually, accounting for a total of 420 million tonnes and for at least one-fifth of man's calorie intake. Wheat is an annual grass growing to between ½ to 1 ¼ meters in height, with a long stalk that terminates in a tightly formed cluster of plump kernels enclosed by a beard of bristly spikes. It is used in the production of bread, biscuits, feeds, confectionary, amongst many, utilization (OYEWOLE, C.I,2016).This study aimed to investigate and compare the growth.......

ABSTRACT: The present study included the percent of infection with hydatid cystic disease (HCD) in human in Al-Diwanyah province, Iraq. from period January 2021 to August 2022 a statistical analysis of documents, 42 cases have been recorded due to cystic Echinococcosis, and treated surgically in governorate hospital ,Al- Diwaniyah teaching hospital . The results of this study showed that the number and rate of infection in rural was 22 (52.38%) higher than in urban 20 (47.61%). According to the patients, females were highly infected than males , and among different organs involved liver was higher infected 19 (45.23%) , and then Ovaries 16 (38.09%). In comparison to age groups, the highest rate of infection was found among the age group 21-30 years12(28.57.....

ABSTRACT: Background: The quality of animal source food (ASF) including goat meat is of great concern among the consumers globally. Carcass characteristics, chemical composition, and sensory characteristics are the basic indicators of carcass quality. This study aimed at comparing the carcass composition and sensory characteristics of two different genetic groups including Khari and Khari×Boer crossbred goats reared at the National Goat Research Program (NGRP), Bandipur, Nepal......

ABSTRACT: Lumpy skin disease (LSD) is an acute viral disease of cattle with major economic impacts and recently emerged very common in Bangladesh. This cross-sectional study was designed to evaluate the prevalence, temporal distribution, and risk factors of clinical LSD. The present study was performed in the Upazila Livestock Office and Veterinary Hospital, Kachua, Bagerhat during the period of January 2020 to December 2020. A total of 690 cattle were examined where 94 cattle were found to be infected with Lumpy Skin Disease virus based on the clinical inspection, clinical history and owners complain. The results indicated that the overall prevalence of LSD was 13.62% in cattle. The incidence rate of the disease was discussed based on the effect of age, sex, breed and season. According.....

ABSTRACT: Background: Globally, scientists have shifted their attention to alternative sources of energy in feed formulation including poultry feed due to increased cost of corn attributed to reduced production and climate change. Sorghum being the fifth most important cereal in terms of production is being studied by scientists due to its ability to grow in semi-arid areas and its high productivity. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the effects of Serena and Kari Mtama 1 sorghum varieties on feed intake, growth performance, feed conversion efficiency and carcass characteristics of IIC.......
