Title | : | Hydrogen Fuelled Ic Engine – An Overview |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Siddharth Shukla || Mohd. Salman Alimi |
Abstract: For more than a century, hydrocarbon fuels have played a leading role in propulsion and power
generation. Recent years, declining oil reserves and increased fuel prices have, together with increased
awareness of the environmental impacts of burning hydrocarbon fuels, led to an interest in alternatives to fossil
fuel based propulsion and power generation. One such alternative is to use hydrogen as an energy carrier and
to extract energy using a fuel cell or a modified internal combustion engine. Hydrogen as a fuel in Internal
Combustion engines is a solution for the near future to realize zero CO2 emissions for trafficapplications. This
paper presents an overview of the internal combustion hydrogen fuelled engine.

Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr.M.Vijaya Sekhar Reddy || K.Ashalatha || M.Madhuri || P.Sumalatha |
Abstract: Ordinary Portland cement is recognized as a major construction material throughout the world.
Researchers all over the world today are focusing on ways of utilizing either industrial or agricultural waste, as
a source of raw materials for industry. This waste, utilization would not only be economical, but may also result
in foreign exchange earnings and environmental pollution control as industrial wastes, such as blast furnace
slag, fly ash and silica fume are being used as supplementary cementing materials (SCMs). Currently, there has
been an attempt to utilize the large amount of bagasse ash, the residue from sugar industry and the bagassebiomass
fuel in electric generation industry.

Title | : | Emission Control Using Methanol, Ethanol And Butanol In Diesel Engine: A Comparison Through CFD Simulation |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dinesh Kumar Soni || Dr. Rajesh Gupta |
Abstract: This present investigation is primarily focused on comparison of emission reduction in diesel engine
by biofuels namely Methanol, Ethanol and Butanol when added to diesel as blends with the help of CFD
simulation. The simulation is performed on a 1.9L, four-cylinder direct injection diesel engine using a
commercial code AVL FIRE for a rectangular piston geometry . To perform the combustion simulation,
hexahedral mesh of engine bowl shape was created using AVL FIRE ESE diesel module. Further, ECFM-3Z
type of combustion model based on laminar flame let concept is applied in the present work. The three fuel
Methanol (D+M), Ethanol (D+E) and Butanol (D+B) are blended to diesel in the ratio of 5% (M5, E5 and B5)
and 10% (M10, E10 and B10) by volume. The effects of these blended fuels on the emission such as NO, SOOT,
CO and HC are compared.

Title | : | Determining The Coefficient Of Tr, Α And River Length (L) Of Flood Runoff Model Using Synthetic Unit Hydrograph Nakayasu (Case Study Bedadung Watershed Jember) |
Country | : | Indonesia |
Authors | : | Dr. Noor Salim, M.Eng |
Abstract: Usage of synthetic unit hydrograph Nakayasu for calculating of flood discharge, often result in
different values with a significant deviation of a field recording flood discharge. This will affect the design of
water building, river cross-sectional studies and other hydraulics study purposes. Significant deviation values
due to the characteristics of each watershed are not the same, especially land use in most of the watershed is
currently changing dramatically, thus greatly affect the runoff coefficient. The results of modeling runoff
patterns using synthetic unit hydrograph Nakayasu in the watershed Bedadung district of Jember in this study
were obtained value of Tr = 0.3 and α = 0.651 gives the reliability of 71%. By obtaining value of Tr and α more
detail, and utilizing the distribution of land use or runoff factors, then investigated coefficient of river length (L).
As a result the value of the coefficient L is 0.052 which have a level of reliability model of 87.44%.

Title | : | "Gray Relational Based Analysis of Al-6351" |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | A.R.Lande || S.B.Patil |
Abstract:CNC End Milling Machining is a widely accepted material removal process used to manufacture components with complicated shapes and profiles. The quality of the surface plays a very important role in the performance of milling because good-quality milled surface significantly improves fatigue strength, corrosion resistance, or creep life. The surface generated during milling is affected by different factors such as vibration, spindle run–out, temperature, tool geometry, feed, cross-feed, tool path and other parameters. In the present study, experiments are conducted on aluminium 6351 materials to see the effect of process parameter variation in this respect.

Title | : | Destructive and Non- Destructive Testing for Concrete in Sudan -A Comparative Study |
Country | : | Sudan |
Authors | : | Adil M. EL-Bashir || Salih EL-Hadi. M. Ahmed |
Abstract:The aim of the research contained in this study is to check the applicability of the destructive and non-destructive techniques in concrete , to make such comparison between destructive and non-destructive tests
Two grades of concrete were considered, grade 25 and grade 30 N/mm² . For each grade 24 cubes and three beams were casted and tested. Two destructive tests were made(crushing test and tensile strength test) and two non- destructive tests were considered(rebound hammer test and ultra-sonic pulse velocity test). These tests were conducted in different intervals of time from the date of cast (7, 14, 28 and 56 days). Cubes were tested for crushing, hammer and ultra-sonic pulse velocity tests. Beams were tested for tensile strength after 28 days . According to the designated compressive strength after 28 days crushing test show good results, Non-destructive tests is very sensitive to local variations in the concrete (aggregate particles, voids, steel, cracks, experience of the operator,…,etc) (Bungy&Millard,2004)[1] so for as measure of concrete strength this type of test may can not be a reliable test.
