Abstract: Background: Composite lymphoproliferative disorders, defined by the coexistence of two distinct lymphoid neoplasms of different cell lineages in the same patient, are exceptionally rare. The simultaneous occurrence of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL), a mature B-cell neoplasm, and Folliculotropic Mycosis Fungoides (FMF), a variant of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, has been infrequently reported. Their overlapping clinical manifestations, distinct biological behavior, and lack of standardized treatment strategies pose significant diagnostic and therapeutic....

Abstract: Background: Anterior open bite (AOB) is one of the most challenging malocclusions to treat, especially in patients with a hyperdivergent skeletal pattern where increased posterior dentoalveolar height contributes to a steep mandibular plane and excessive lower facial height. Posterior tooth intrusion has emerged as an important nonsurgical strategy to close AOB by reducing posterior vertical dimension and promoting counterclockwise mandibular autorotation...

Abstract: Introduction: Glaucoma is one of the leading causes of irreversible blindness worldwide, and this is not as good for people of African Descent. Understanding the factors associated with glaucoma in particular places is important to public health action to lower blindness.
Method: The study evaluated the prevalence and Knowledge of glaucoma among rural and urban dwellers in Abia State, Nigeria, using a community-based cross-sectional study conducted among 468 adults, of which 234 of the respondents were chosen from the rural area and the urban area, respectively. Glaucoma was diagnosed based on clinical eye examination....

Abstract: Background: Despite variations in sociodemographic, reproductive, and lifestyle factors that may influence breast cancer risk, mammographic screening still remains uniform/non-tailored in resource-limited settings. Breast density, apart from being a well-established determinant of breast cancer risk, also affects mammographic sensitivity. Understanding breast density patterns can facilitate targeted risk-based screening, boosting early cancer detection, resource allocation and overall screening efficacy. However, there is paucity of empirical data supporting....

Abstract: Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease that leads to the destruction of the periodontal attachment apparatus and possible tooth loss. The ultimate goal of periodontal therapy is to prevent further disease progression in order to reduce the risk of tooth loss. This objective can be achieved through a number of therapeutic modalities comprising both the nonsurgical and surgical phases of periodontal therapy. The Flap surgery procedures permit the surgical debridement of root surfaces and removal of soft tissue following the reflection of a mucoperiosteal....

Abstract: Background: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) has become the gold standard for treating symptomatic gallstones. The optimal site for cystic duct ligation is critical to prevent postoperative complications like bile leaks or “remnant cystic duct” syndrome. High ligation leaves a longer cystic duct stump >0.5 cm, while flush ligation aims for a minimal remnant.Flush clipping of the cystic duct in laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC)
