Abstract: Introduction: Mechanical ventilation is a life-saving intervention in critically ill neonates but is associated with high mortality, particularly in low-resource settings. Clinical conditions, metabolic disturbances, and complications during ventilation may significantly influence neonatal outcomes. Understanding these factors is crucial to improving survival rates. Aim of the.....

Abstract: Background: One well-known issue among the people delaying dental care is anxiety prior to dental treatment.
Patients that are tense and worried cause scheduling issues, complicate treatment, and make the dentist uncomfortable. The survey will be based on a set of questionnaire and VAS scale and the patients will be asked to complete the questionnaire before and after endodontic treatment. Questionnaire will help to analyze the response of the patient's anxiety......

Abstract: Background: Achieving profound and predictable maxillary anesthesia is essential for Oral and Maxillofacial surgical procedures. Although intraoral maxillary nerve block techniques are commonly practiced, they may be associated with multiple injections, patient discomfort, and technical limitations in certain clinical situations. Extraoral maxillary nerve block techniques offer a potential alternative with wider anesthetic coverage.
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy, safety, and clinical applicability of extraoral maxillary nerve block in patients undergoing unilateral maxillary.....

Abstract: Smartphones are incredibly popular, and rightfully so. From weather reports to our favourite movies, almost everything is accessible at the tips of our fingers. While smartphones undoubtedly make our fast-paced lives more convenient, there is a grimmer side to their overuse. As Theodore Levitt once said, “Too much of anything is poison.” Excessive smartphone use has been associated with psychological effects such as poor memory, reduced concentration.....

Abstract: Peripheral ossifying fibroma (POF) is a reactive, non-neoplastic lesion of the gingiva believed to originate from periodontal ligament-related tissues and is most commonly seen in tooth-bearing regions of young female patients. Presentation of POF on edentulous ridges is extremely uncommon. This case report describes a rare occurrence of POF in an 81-year-old male involving the edentulous mandibular ridge. Clinically, the lesion resembled a peripheral giant cell granuloma and was initially diagnosed as such. Surgical excision was performed, and histopathological.....

Abstract: Background: Maxillofacial trauma frequently involves fractures of the mandible and midface due to the anatomical prominence of these regions. Restoration of normal occlusion and function requires accurate reduction and stable fixation of the fracture segments. Maxillomandibular fixation (MMF) remains a cornerstone in the management of such injuries. Conventionally, Erich’s Arch Bars (EAB) secured with circumdental stainless-steel wiring have served as the gold standard for establishing MMF. Despite their efficacy, this method is associated with several disadvantages....

Abstract: Background: Class III malocclusion is best described by discrepancies of dental or skeletal components in antero-posterior or vertical directions. Retrognathic and narrow maxilla, prognathic and wider mandible, and / or a combination of both are the common clinical presentations of skeletal class III malocclusion. The magnitude of discrepancy may compromise facial esthetics variably and motivate individuals to seek orthodontic correction. The aim is to show a case that benefits from the multidisciplinary treatment approach between surgery, orthodontics....
