Abstract: Background: Palliative care is specialized healthcare that aims to relieve pain, stress, and other distressing
symptoms among patients with serious illnesses in order to improve the quality of life of patients and their
families. Critical care nurses play a vital role in providing palliative care within intensive care units (ICUs).
Aim of this study: to explore in depth the lived experiences of critical care nurses regarding palliative care.
