ABSTRACT: MANET (Mobile Ad-hoc Network) do not require centralized or any infrastructure to form a network and so they are vulnerable to many attacks. Each device in MANET is free to move independently in any direction and therefore change its links to other devices frequently. VANET (Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks) is a type of MANET that is used for communication among vehicles and roadside equipment. Internet is used for transformation of data from vehicles. Black hole attack is one of the serious attacks in networks. In order to provide a secured network, we have given a solution for black hole attack using handshaking in MANETs and VANETs. We have chosen random way point model for MANET and city section mobility model for VANET. The simulation results using ns-2 for MANET shows effectiveness in securing messages than VANET. In this paper, we propose solution which will try to avoid black hole attack in network with the help of handshake mechanism that uses a periodic dynamic key value.

ABSTRACT: The global enterprise mobility market is expected to reach $174 billion by the year 2017 according to recently published reports! Android, iOS and Windows Phone are the pre-dominant mobile platforms in the market today. Android, by virtue of its open source nature and commercial friendly license holds the maximum market share and is finding increasing applicability beyond just smartphones and tablets. While Android is the top market leader in consumer mobility, enterprises are still figuring out ways of how it can be better managed. Android supported default manageability provisionhas been very limited. Precisely,it is missing many crucial policies that empower the enterprises with the required device manageability. In this paper, we will discuss the business requirements and the challenges faced by enterprises in adopting Android powered devices. We would then discuss in detail how enterprises can plan a manageable yet cost-effective Android solution..

ABSTRACT: In the past few years tremendous work has been done in the area of mobile computing. The advent of ubiquitous computing has revolutionized the data access capability of users. It provides access to the user anytime, anywhere. For the past decade, application-driven research in ubiquitous computing had given rise to a wide variety of applications which is user centric. Use of mobile phones, sensor equipped devices, GPS devices have given new meaning to the technology. Location based services (LBS), context aware application and automated capture and access play a major role in moving this technology to the next dawn.
