Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr.Aditi Raut || Dr.Jayashree Bhakay |
Abstract: The purpose of this research is to examine women wine consumer behviour towards selection criteria and final purchase in comparison with men wine consumers. Design/methodology/approach: Questionnaire was 357 of respondents in the city of Mumbai. Findings: Findings suggest that, if a consumer is confused about selecting a wine, women are more enthusiastic than men to ask for information from store personnel, a server, sommelier or winery personnel. Point of sale recommendation is more important for women than men. While wine region and grape variety is important to both men and women, women rely on price and brand more than men.

Title | : | A Study on Advantages of Separate Trade book for Bull Call Spreads and Bear Put Spreads. |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Chirag Babulal Shah |
Abstract: Derivatives are revolutionary instruments and have changed the way one looks at the financial world. Derivatives were introduced as a hedging tool. However, as the understanding of the intricacies of these instruments has evolved, it has become more of a speculative tool. The biggest advantage of Derivative instruments is the leverage it provides. The other benefit, which is not available in the spot market, is the ability to short the underlying, for more than a day. Thus it is now easy to take advantage of the downtrend.

Abstract: The latest buzz in retail is ecommerce or etailing as many call it has reached most cities in India even the smaller ones. Online retailing or ecommerce is catching in India while it is less than 1% of overall Indian retail, it is already 10% of the organized retail and many predict it will be 8% of the total retail market by 2020. The Indian ecommerce market has grown rapidly over last couple of years. Customers look excited, investors are bullish and competition is very very serious. Title | : | How switching cost can affect the market dynamics: The Case of Tata Sky DTH service disruption |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Lokesh Kumar || Dr. Utpal Chattopadhyay |
Abstract: This case article highlights the fiasco following the recent direct-to-home (DTH) service disruptions by the Tata Sky. It provides insights into how switching cost can affect customer decisions in a competitive market like DTH services. It also illustrates how a reputed brand like Tata Sky can go wrong and still manages to get away with the situation, primarily due to high switching cost prevailing in the DTH sector preventing customers from switching to the competing companies. This also opens up the debate that even in a competitive market, customers are not always the king, especially when they are tied to the companies due to technological reasons or otherwise.

Title | : | A study of varying tendency of the populace & its impact on home appliances market |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Prof. Nisha S Tatkar |
Abstract: The home appliances market in India will see a significant growth due to lower penetration, increasing incomes, and growing urbanization. Also, the number of middle class households (earning between INR2 lakh and INR10 lakh a year) will increase more than fourfold nationwide from 32 million to 147 million in 2030. According to a McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) 2010 report, India's fast growing cities will drive a near fourfold increase in the country's per capita income between 2008 and 2030. With the rising disposable income (per capita disposable income of the urban segment is expected to grow at a CAGR of 6.4% between 2008 and 2030), consumer's discretionary expenditure is also likely to increase significantly.

Title | : | Prospects Of Non Conventional Souces Of Credit- A Case Study On Peer To Peer Lending In India |
Country | : | |
Authors | : | Pushpa Bv || Phani Satish |
Abstract: The mainstream financial system imploded after the collapse of the financial system in 2008 which left millions of borrowers an extraordinary debt burden and individuals and small businesses cut off from fresh sources of credit. The volatility in the stock markets and low rates in most categories of bonds popularized the term disintermediation and prompted more investors to turn to non conventional sources of funding. Revolutionizing credit was considered as a need of the hour. In this growing global market getting in touch with potential investors and borrowers is challenging and this is where these non conventional lending platforms come in with their technology enabling them to operate more efficiently and at cost advantage than the traditional banking system.
