Title | : | System And Method To Build Realistic Vocabulary Specific To Each Part Of Speech, Known By A Person |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Sandipan Sengupta || Shami Gupta || Proshanta Sarkar || Salini Makar |
Abstract: Background: What is the problem solved by your invention? As of today there is no method to build a vocabulary acquired / learnt by a person. We feel there is a need of such a system and method that can automate building such a vocabulary possessed by a person and eventually we can replicate the capability in an artificial system.Lets say there are three persons P1, P2 and P3 at any point in time possess the vocabulary represented in set as V1, V2 and V3 respectively. It is obvious that due to the difference in schooling, learning capability and various other social factors, this may be true that V1 ≠ V2 , V2 ≠ V3, V3 ≠ V1. In order to build the vocabulary V1, we need to find all the such word x such that [ x € V1 ]. In order to build the vocabulary V2, we need to find all the such word y such that [ y€ V2 ]. In order to build the vocabulary V3, we need to find all the such word z such that [ z€ V3 ].

Title | : | System And Method To Provide Recommendation Of The Appropriate Composition Mostly Align To The Audience/Spectators Aesthetic Senses For Any Forthcoming Concert |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Sandipan Sengupta || Proshanta Sarkar || Sanmitra Sarkar |
Abstract: Every time we attend any live concert our liking or disliking of the concert depends on many factors. The aesthetics always fluctuate due to the overall composition of the concert, in a concert some compositions we like and some we don't as they don't align to our aesthetic sense. Now if we classify those composition factors broadly which works as external stimuli to us at any time then we can categorize them as overall stage setup, performance and performing factors of the performers and most importantly olfactory and taste sensation. Currently there is no such system which collectively considers all the above mentioned factors to recommend the appropriate composition for the forthcoming concert which will be mostly align to the audience/spectators aesthetic senses..

Title | : | System And Method To Identify Social Posts Which Are Not Suitable For Users' Current State Or Interest And Suppresses The Same For That Time Being Or Permanent From The Users' Social Timeline |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Proshanta Sarkar || Sandipan Sengupta |
Abstract: Nowadays social media is truly a revolutionized platform and it has impacted people in many good ways .But it also suffers with some negative impacts as well. For example: User has been rejected in an interview, at the same time one of her friends cracked the interview and posted the same on social media about her success. It is always important to know the information but may be this is not the perfect time/situation to see the post on users' timeline. Problem with current System: All the current filtering methods are content based, they classify the post/status on its sentiment, availability of sexual/abusive content etc. but no system as of now available which identifies the situation/event the user is passing through and predict the change in emotional state before posting the photo/status on users' timeline and also if it finds the post would affect negatively then suppresses the post for a specific time until the situation permits

Title | : | System To Control Of Fire-Arm License Based On The Psychic State Of The Civilian License Holder, Automatic Locking& Unlocking Of A Fire-Arm Based On Cognitive Visual Analysis |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Sandipan Sengupta || Proshanta Sarkar || Shami Gupta || Salini Makar |
Abstract: The policy for issuance of a fire-arm mandates a certain eligibility criteria that includes purpose statement and licensee physical and mental health verification and accordingly, a license for a specified time interval is issued for the said fire-arm. Thus the fire-arm and licensee relationship is one on one and contained by the conditions of the license and its validity. However, in today's ever changing world, these parameters, particularly the psychometric parameters may get influenced by certain triggers in modern day life, and may not be consistent over the entire license issuing period. If there is a gross change happening on a negative side, it may turn into a trigger-happy situation and committing crime of some sort cannot be ruled out. Thus the current gaps can be listed as.

Title | : | Banking Frauds & Relevance of Data Analytics |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Prof Aditya Kr Biswas || Prof Partha Saha |
Abstract: It may be noted that any regulatory measure on financial industry will like to ensure: i) Financial stability ii) Improved performance iii) Control of revenue leakage iv) Transparency These are all inter-related. However while we analyze the aspect of revenue leakage we come across many occasions of excessive risks undertaken by banks (may be arising out of unreasonable greed & expectations) as happened in cases of Mortgage loans in USA in 2007 resulting in huge non-performing assets (NPA). In banking only statistical analysis is not enough, there has to be other considerations also like 'welfare economics' etc. Commercial Banking is driven by the environment but at the same time it creates the environment too. The other reason for NPA is FRAUD – as simple as that.............

Title | : | Leadership Quality of Women & Business Ethics |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Prof Aditya Kr Biswas |
Abstract: We know "the hand that cradles rules the world‟. As per Wikipedia "Matriarchy is a social system in which females (most notably in mammals) hold the primary power positions in roles of political leadership, moral authority, social privilege and control of property at the specific exclusion of males - at least to a large degree". A popular definition, according to James Peoples and Garrick Bailey, is "female dominance". What happens in Business domain? Matriarchy is believed to be a prehistoric system though still now there are a few societies where female members do dominate. However, in the competitive world today both the genders have come out in open and work hand in hand in collaborative competition. It is fact that only a few women have gone to the top of corporate ladder............

Title | : | A Survey On Data Clustering Approaches |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Saikat Samanta || Siddhartha Chatterjee |
Abstract: The clustering problem has been addressed in many contexts and by researchers in many disciplines; this reflects its broad appeal and usefulness as one of the steps in exploratory data analysis. Clustering is the unsupervised classification of patterns into groups. However, clustering differences in assumptions and contexts in different communities has made the transfer of useful generic concepts and methodologies slow to occur. This paper presents an overview of pattern clustering methods from a statistical pattern recognition perspective, with a goal of providing useful advice and references to fundamental concepts accessible to the broad community of clustering practitioners. We present a taxonomy of clustering techniques, and identify cross-cutting themes and recent advances. We also describe some important applications of clustering algorithms .

Title | : | A Survey on A High Performance Approximate Adder And Two High Performance Approximate Multipliers |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Sumanta Chakraborty || Siddhartha Chatterjee |
Abstract: Approximate computing can be performed where exact computing is not required and the applications are resilient to errors (applications will not crush due to approximation). Human perception level is very limited while interpreting an image, an audio or a video. This allows some applications, especially digital signal processing (DSP) applications to produce approximate output instead of exact output. The reason behind incorporating approximation in the applications to reduce circuit complexities, which leads to the reduction of power consumption, delay, etc. without degrading the performances. In this paper we review one novel approximate adder and two low-power approximate multipliers applicable to high-performance DSP applications. One multiplier for small input pro duces réductions in delay and power upto 20% and 69%, respectively, when implemented on a 28nm CMOS process. Another multiplier produces reductions in delay and power upto 9.8% and 10.74%, respectively, with an error rate from 0.2% to 13.76%.

Title | : | ALERT Generation Intrusion Detection System On Heterogeneous System |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Simanta Hazra || Siddhartha Chatterjee || Saikat Samanta |
Abstract: Security is one of the most fundamental concerns in today's Enterprise network. An enterprise is composed of heterogeneous entities having varying asset values and attack vulnerabilities. To protect the information resources in an enterprise, packet filtering based firewall rules are deployed and the same time, to detect potential threats in the systems and network, intrusion detection systems are also deployed. In a general enterprise, set up these two activities are performed independently. But it was shown in the literature that the dynamic configuration of firewall rules can be achieved through utilization of the alerts generated by the IDS tools. However, the IDS systems normally generates large number of alerts that results in blocking of a large number of sites by the firewalls.

Title | : | A Brief Study on green walls technology benefits & design |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Professor Chef Subhadip Majumder, CHE |
Abstract: Plants have served humanity since the dawn of time, supplying food, clothing, building materials and a host of other goods. With the advent of the modern industrial city, now home to more than half of the world's population, planners, designers and urban advocates are once again turning to plants – green infrastructure- as a key strategy to provide cleaner air and water, while improving living environments, human health and mental wellbeing. The integration of the living, organic systems characterized by green walls and green roofs, with the inorganic and lifeless structures that have come to dominate modern architecture, holds the promise of a new type of 'living' architecture.
