Abstract: Coal mining is one of the major activities causing an increase in pollution and exerts a tremendous long lasting impact on the environment. Mining activities have been found to pollute the atmosphere which affects the human health, flora and fauna, increasing the atmospheric temperature. Mining of coal is done in two ways, open cast mining and underground mining. To maintain the energy demand, opencast mining has been growing at a phenomenon rate in India. Among all the operations performed in open cast mines, blasting is one of the most prominent and common operations which carried out in almost every mine that have a significant effect on environment. The dust grains emitted during blasting are of major concern for the mining operators and local communities...............

Title | : | Linking Professionalism to Nishkam Karma and how it can Reshape the World We Live in |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Namarta Sharma || Dr Parul Sharma || Dr. Ajit Kumar Behura |
Abstract: The world is continuously drowning in the ocean of "tamas" or dark ignorance, where the people or organizations are clashing with each other over petty material gains. This paper focuses on the impoartance of Nishkam karma i.e. detached involvement principle of the Bhagvad Gita.It attempts to apply the oriental philosophy of the Bhagvad Gita and western concept of "Categorical Imperative" on the professional scenario of modern world. The paper aims to show that professionalism based on self-interest and profit motive leads us to unethical practices, mindless consumerism and annihilation of resources.Professionalism based on Nishkam Karma can help us in resolving the tension between altruism andself-interest to pave the way for a more wholistic and ethical society.

Green purchasing involves identifying, selecting and purchasing products (i.e. goods and services) with significantly less adverse environmental impacts than competing products. Further, it involves considering the costs and environmental characteristics and performance of a product in all stages of its life-cycle, from product design, development and production/ provision, through product use, to the ultimate handling (i.e. recovery, recycling, re-use and/ or waste disposal) of whatever remains of the product at the end of its useful lifespan, such that these purchasing methods lowers the effective production cost and increase productivity.............

Title | : | The Compendium of the Extant Sino-Indian Relations with Emphasis on Trade |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Dr. Ruchi shukla || Himanya Sud || Yukti Goel |
Abstract: This paper sheds light upon the imbalanced relationship between China and India via the routes of politics, culture, disputes or merely the fact that they are two Asian leaders still in search of their sweet spot in the global market. We have proposed a descriptive analysis of the comparison between the two, taking trade as one of our major parameters. These countries are comparable not because they share a similar affinity, but in terms of their aversion to the current structure of the world. China is one of India's largest trading partners, leading for India to have a trade deficit of $52.69 billion dollars (owed to China). As per the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), during the fiscal year 2015-16, Indian exports were a little over $9 billion and imports were worth $61.7 billion to China alone................
