ABSTRACT: A study was conducted to evaluate the indigenous knowledge by farmers toward their soil fertility assessment. More research has been deeply developed from the basically ideologies and ethno-scientific approaches generated by the locally farmers worldwide through their long-term experience in the farming system toward assessing the soil fertility using their commonly indigenous knowledge. The concept has received attention and gradually developing throughout the world and have been documented by numerous scientists in Latin America, South-East Asia and Africa (Nutnet, 2000).They formed the basis for many management practices such as attunement of cropping system to the agricultural capabilities of the site and adjusting soil conservation practices (Greb,.......

ABSTRACT: The research aims at estimating the farmers' response to the increase of barley cultivated area in the period (1990-2016) at the country level. The research was based on quantitative analysis method in estimating barley yield response functions using dynamic Nerlove Modelas well as estimation of short and long termflexible price offer. The estimated results showed the main variables in the response to the offer of barley cultivated area which is cultivated area of the previous year's which reached (0.74), the relative price of the barley crop modified by wheat prices for......... .

ABSTRACT: The tomato crop is one of the main vegetable crops in Iraq and the most consumed, as it enters most of the cooked, fresh and canned foods. It is one of the most important vegetable crops economically and its nutritional and economic importance. It is grown in two winter seasons by covered agriculture , The study aimed at estimating the response of the presentation of cultivated areas with tomato yield using the joint integration tests and the error correction model (VECM) , The results indicated that the most important factors influencing the response to the presentation of the cultivated areas of the tomato crop are the area planted with the crop for the previous year, the previous year's crop price, the average summer vegetable price for the previous year, irrigation water..........

ABSTRACT: Kisan Mobile Advisory system (KMAs) is one such initiative of ICT which provides location-specific and crop specific farm advisory services and facilities to the farming community in a particular area. Kisan Mobile Advisory Services has been considered as a communication service by which messages are being provided in the form of SMS through KVKs. The result in respect to overall impact of Kisan Mobile Advisory system (KMAs) obtained by farmers presented that out of the total beneficiaries, the higher proportion of the beneficiaries 39.17 per cent was obtained incomplete knowledge followed by complete knowledge confronted by 35.00 per cent beneficiaries and partial knowledge confronted by 25.83 per cent beneficiaries respectively.

ABSTRACT: Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome and pneumonia co-infection is a combination of two infections. Here, an individual contracted with both Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Pneumococcal Carinii Pneumonia at the same time is involved. This paper focuses on the HIV/AIDS - pneumonia co-infection model which is shown to be positively bounded. In this model, we consider treatment for co-infection at both initial and final stages of development. The endemic states are considered to exist when the basic reproduction number for each disease is greater than one. The basic reproduction numbers are also used to see the impact of treating one disease on the co-infection. Numerical simulations indicate the effect of varying the treatment parameters on single disease and the co-infection dynamics. As we increase treatment rates, the infections decrease.

ABSTRACT: Blackberry is a crop of great economic potential due to its health benefits to humans. Despite the economic importance, it has not been exploited in Kenya. Eighty-four species have been identified in the country but there is little information on propagation about the crop. With enough research blackberry can be adopted for commercialization. To ease Commercialization, a quick propagation procedure needs to be developed. In the present study, sterilization, different plant part explants and size of explant were evaluated inRubus fruiticous, Rubus apatelus and Rubus volkensis.Complete Randomized Design composed of three replications per treatment was used. Data were............

ABSTRACT: This work was carried out during the two successive seasons of 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 to assess the molecular systematic and genetic relationship between two Mentha longfolia ecotypes, which collected from South Sinai (St. Catharine) and Siwa Oasis in Egypt through ISSR molecular markers, Then evaluating the productivity of them under different ecological conditions. The experiment was conducted at two different locations in newly reclaimed lands as follows: Baloza (North Sinai Governorate) and Siwa Oasis (Matrouh Governorate). The results of molecular markers showed high similarity values between the studied ecotypes were 92%. ISSR analysis confirmed that the Mentha longfolia from Catharine and the Mentha longfolia from Siwa Oasis are genetically similar and have the same species..............

Using standard parasitological analysis the incidence of intestinal parasites of O. niloticus was studied. Procamallanus (Nematoda) had the highest prevalence (9.32%) while Opisthochuspedicellantus and Monobothroideswoodlandii (cestoda) have the lowest prevalence of (0.62%) and (0.62%) respectively. Other parasites include Enterogyruscichlidarum(Nematoda), (3.1 I %),Acanthostomumspiniceps(Acanthocephalan),(4.97%)Clinostomumarthracanthus(3.73%), Clinostomumtilapiae (2.48%),........

ABSTRACT: In sub-Saharan countries, livestock production is under the biggest constraint due to Africa Animal African trypanosomiasis (AAT) threatening cattle of the area. In order to forward baseline information on the extent of the problem caused by AAT and to provide sustainable control strategies, a cross sectional survey of trypanosomiasis bovine disease and its vectors tsetse fly was carried out from October 2009 to January 2010 in the cattle of the Djerem division of the Adamaoua region of Cameroon. The survey of tsetse fly vectors was conducted using biconical traps and the captured insects were identified binocular optic microscope. The parasitological survey was realized through blood samples collection from cattle jugular vein and screened using Buffy coat diagnostic technique for parasite examination. In results, a total of 296 flies vectors of African Animal Trypanosomiasis were..........

ABSTRACT: An experiment was conducted to evaluate the growth performance and economics of broiler chickens fed diets containing different agro industrial by-products. Five diets containing wheat offal, millet offal, sorghum offal, rice offal and maize offal were formulated and coded diet 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 respectively. 500 day old Anak 2000 broiler chicks were randomly allotted to five dietary treatments in a completely randomized design and each treatment was replicated five times. Feed and water were provided ad libitum and the feeding trial lasted for eight weeks. At the starter phase, daily feed intake (62.46-67.17 g; P<0.001), daily weight gain (22.16-25.23 g; P<0.05) and feed conversion ratio (2.49-3.02; P<0.001) were affected by dietary treatment. At the finisher phase daily weight gain...........
