Abstract: Cancer remains a global health crisis, affecting over 20 million people annually and disproportionately burdening low-resource regions. Conventional therapies, such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy, face limitations including severe side effects, drug resistance, and poor accessibility. Transition metal nanoparticles (TMNPs) - notably gold (Au), silver (Ag), platinum (Pt), and copper (Cu) - are emerging as transformative tools in oncology. Their unique physicochemical properties enable precise drug delivery, real-time diagnostics, and targeted therapies such as photothermal and photodynamic treatments.....
Keywords: TMNPs, cancer diagnosis, photothermal therapy, targeted drug delivery, precision medicine.
