Abstract: Background: Heavy metal contamination of vegetables has become a global phenomenon, prompting intermittent monitoring to mitigate associated health implications. This study investigates heavy metal contamination in vegetables from northern Nigeria (Adamawa, Jigawa, Kano, and Taraba) focusing on As, Cd, Cr, and Pb.
