Abstract: Background: Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) represents a significant but often under-recognized vascular complication in acute pancreatitis (AP). This is largely due to the prothrombotic state induced by systemic inflammation, compounded by immobilization and local vascular injury. While splanchnic vein thrombosis has been more widely reported, the safety and effectiveness of chemical thromboprophylaxis in AP remain insufficiently explored in clinical practice......

Abstract: Summary Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) is an inherited hemoglobin disorder that compromises red blood cell function and significantly increases susceptibility to infections due to functional asplenia and immune dysfunction. In Morocco, the true burden of hemoglobinopathies remains under-documented, though estimates suggest that thousands may be affected. This article presents two cases of respiratory infections in adult SCD patients : one case of pneumonia caused by Klebsiella pneumoniae, and another of active pulmonary tuberculosis confirmed by molecular testing. Both patients.....

Abstract: The World Health Organization (WHO) has included gaming disorder as a clinical entity in the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11). This condition is characterized by marked distress or interference with a person's daily functioning due to gaming. One of the primary challenges following this recognition is training healthcare professionals to accurately diagnose and manage gaming disorder in clinical settings.1.....

Abstract: Children with congenital heart disease (CHD) are a medically compromised population who face unique and multifaceted oral health challenges. These children exhibit a higher prevalence of dental caries, gingivitis, enamel defects, soft tissue abnormalities, and delayed tooth eruption compared to their healthy peers. These conditions are exacerbated by systemic complications, medications, feeding difficulties, and limited access to preventive dental care. Poor oral health in CHD children not only affects quality of life but also poses serious risks, such as infective endocarditis.....

Abstract: Recent studies have explored yoga as an adjunctive therapeutic approach for type 2 diabetes mellitus, with potential benefits in reducing medication dependency and slowing disease progression. This study assessed the impact of yoga on lipid profiles in 60 individuals with type 2 diabetes, divided into two groups: 30 participants engaged in a 3-month yoga regimen in addition to standard medical treatment (intervention group) and 30 participants receiving only standard medical care (control group). The intervention group, with a mean age of 53.40 ± 7.95 years, showed:.....

Abstract: Pediatric dentistry has witnessed a paradigm shift from purely functional restorations to those that combine function with superior esthetics. The demand for esthetic restorations in children has increased with growing parental awareness, evolving materials, and minimally invasive techniques. This article reviews the commonly used esthetic restorative materials in pediatric dentistry, their properties, clinical applications, advantages, and limitations, providing evidence‑based insights into current trends and future directions.

Abstract: Infant oral health is a critical component of overall health and well-being. Early preventive dental care, parental education, and timely interventions are key factors in ensuring optimal oral development and the prevention of diseases such as early childhood caries (ECC). This review highlights the importance of infant oral health, risk factors affecting dental development, preventive strategies, and the role of paediatric dental professionals in establishing a dental home during infancy.

Abstract: Purpose of review:- Prostate cancer is the most common solid organ cancer type among American men. Screening and imaging aim to detect early-stage disease that is biologically aggressive. The focus of this study is to review multiparametric MRI in the detection and risk stratification of prostate cancer. Recent findings:- MP-MRI has been shown to be the most accurate noninvasive technique to localize prostate cancer. Recent studies reported that using MRI for guidance during prostate biopsies increases the yield of prostate biopsies. Moreover, multiparametric and particular MRI sequences such as apparent diffusion coefficient values of diffusion-weighted MRI have been found to correlate negatively with tumor Gleason scores.......

Abstract: Background: Diagnostic imaging plays an important role in the evaluation of abdominal masses. Many imaging modalities are available ranging from conventional modalities to the cross-sectional modalities like USG, CT and MRI. The main principles of imaging are to determine the origin of mass, its measurement, extent, characterisation and assessment of its effect on contiguous organs. Methods: A Cross-sectional observational study was done in 30 patients. Patients of either sex of any age group who had presented with involvement of retroperitoneal organs detected by routine ultrasound and postoperative patients with recurrence were included in our study......

Abstract: Autogenous arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs) are considered the gold standard for vascular access in hemodialysis because they last longer and have fewer complications compared to synthetic grafts or central venous catheters. The introduction of Doppler ultrasound (DUS) has greatly enhanced the evaluation process for AVF creation by enabling detailed vascular mapping. This non-invasive imaging modality also supports ongoing care post-surgery, helping detect issues like stenosis or thrombosis early, which in turn aids in maintaining access patency. Offering both anatomical and functional......

Abstract: Primary gastric lymphoma (PGL) is a rare clinical entity accounting for the majority of extra-nodal non-Hodgkin lymphoma (EN-NHL). The most common histological subtype is the primary gastric diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (PG-DLBCL) accounting for 40 %–70 % of all primary gastric non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas[1,2]. The clinical manifestations of PG-DLBCL are nonspecific and easily misdiagnosed due to its unspecific symptoms of the digestive tract.....
