ABSTRACT: Sheep pox(SP) disease is one of the priorities and high-impact animal diseases affecting sheep in many developing countries including India. As we know that prophylaxis using attenuated vaccines is the choice of control measure as the immunity is long lasting. In this study, we evaluated safety, immunogenicity, and potency of a live attenuated Sheep pox vaccine (SPV) prepared in a freeze-dried form containing vaccine virus titer of 103.75CCID50/Dose by BBPL.The vaccine safety was tested in sheep using ten times the recommended field dose. In the safety trial, none of the vaccinated animals showed any deviation from physiological norms or fever, in-appetence or local/ generalized skin reactions. In the immunogenicity study of the SPV vaccine by intramuscular (I/M) or subcutaneous......

ABSTRACT: The present study was conducted in the field in the pilot area of collective reconversion to localized irrigation at the perimeter of Tadla, aims to study the validity of the climatic approach based on Penman Monteith daily reference in the planning of watering of sugar beet (Betavulgaris, L) at Tadla perimeter. For this purpose, capacitive probesof FDR technology previously calibrated in situ by the gravimetric method(Average Correlation Coefficientr2 = 0.9, Coefficient of VariationCV = 9.26 %) were used for the simultaneous control of the hydrous and thermal soil profiles. The soil moisture monitoring data are very conclusive and result in a high correlation (r2 = 0.9) between the estimated water requirement (ETM) and the actual evapotranspiration (ETR) measured by the balance method Ground water. The soil waterstock was maintained between the field capacity (Hcc: 249 mm) and the wilting point (Hpf: 138 mm). Also an index of Crop water stress (CWSI = 1- ETR / ETM) revolving around......

ABSTRACT: The growth and yield evaluation of tiger nuts (cyperusesculentus L.) intercropped with Amaranthus cruentus) and organomineral application was investigated in this study. Tiger nut tubers are locally known as "akiawusa" in Igbo, "aya‟ in Hausa and "ofio‟ in Yoruba. The research was carried out to determine the response of Tiger nut intercrop with Amaranthus cruentus fertilizer application (Organo mineral fertilizer) and to evaluate the yield of tiger nut inter crop with Amaranthus cruentus in the soil. This experiment was laid out in a completely randomized design (CRD). Organomineral fertilizer was used at the rate of 40, 80 and 120 g per hectare. Parameters such as stem girth, number of leaves, plant height, were taken for 13weeks. The treatments significantly influenced all the parameters......
