Abstract: Objective: Prophylactic ankle taping is considered as one of the most effective treatment strategy following inversion ankle sprains. In the last few decades, several studies have established that centre of pressure (COP) of the ankle and foot complex plays an important role in estimating abnormal mechanics following inversion ankle sprains. The main purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of ankle taping on the centre of pressure (COP) of the ankle and foot complex at heel strike in participants with a history of inversion ankle sprain. Methods: In this study, secondary analysis of the data recorded from a well designed cohort study was conducted. The study participants were grouped as cases (n = 14) with a mean age of 26.9 (± 11.3) years and controls (n = 14) with a mean age of 34.9 (± 10.0) years..........

Abstract: There is increase in physical inactivity. Lack of time is been the most common reason for physical inactivity. High intensity interval training (HIIT) is the most time efficient exercise strategy. But HIIT involves high negative affect and high Rate of perceived exertion. Music is thought to affect senses allowing the separation of thought from feeling, thereby altering ones perception of unpleasant feeling. The purpose of this study was to find the effect of music on perceived exertion, enjoyment, mood and affect during high intensity interval training.30 participants were selected as per the inclusion and exclusion criteria. They were divided into 2 groups: group A performed with music and group B performed without music condition HIIT. To control for order effects, trial order was counterbalanced..........

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to analyze about: (1) the influence of ladder drills exercise towards speed, liveliness, and power of limb muscle; (2) the influence of jump rope exercise towards speed, liveliness, and power of limb muscle; (3) the difference between the influence of ladder drills and rope jump exercises towards speed, agility, and power of limb muscle. This type of research uses quantitative research with quasi experimental method. The study design uses matching-only design. The subjects of the study are all of the students / athletes following extracurricular at SMAN 1 Balongpanggang Gresik as many as 30 children and divided into three groups. The experimental group I receives a ladder drills treatment. The second experiment group receives rope jump training and the third group is not treated. The data retrieval process is done by speed test with 30 m test, agility.......

Abstract: The age long stereotypes attached to gender roles that stemmed from childhood are still evident in choice of physical activities health club members participate in. Despite most affluent population showing intention to participate, it is not clear for those who are actively involved, whether they attain the intended benefits. This study sought to establish the impact these stereotypes had on the affluent members' participation in physical activities within five star hotels in Nairobi. A descriptive survey method covering 109 health club members strategically sampled from four out of the thirteen five star hotels in Nairobi was used. Data from health club members were collected using a close ended questionnaireand then analysed using t-test. The results showed differences in the way respondents' choice of physical activities, reasons for their choices and dislike for what they did not participate in. Hotel health club instructors have a great role to encourage their members to appreciate the benefits of various activities available so as to help the government to realise its goal of creating a healthy nation.
