Abstract: The Olympic Games are the largest multi-sporting event of the world held every four years. The fame and fortune of the Olympic Games need no further explanations. However, these Games have been met with numerous issues including those of racism. These issues of race have cast a dark cloud on the Olympic Movement. In spite of all this, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and National Olympic Committees (NOCs) have attempted to maintain relations with and among themselves by facing the challenges racism poses head-on. This paper describes some incidences that were hinged on racism and how they were handled by the Olympic Movement..........

Abstract: Manual therapy/manipulation is seen to effective in improving pain, neck movements and disability. However, comparison between types of thrust manipulation is required. Randomized clinical trial was conducted on 40 subjects of mean age 27.35±6.78 with mechanical neck pain. Subjects were allocated to Group A (n=20)who received thoracic spine distraction thrust or Group B (n=20)who received upper thoracic crossed hand manipulation along with conventional therapy. Outcome measures used were Numerical pain Rating Scale (NPRS), cervical ranges, and Northwick Park Neck Pain Questionnaire (NPQ) that were assessed on first day before and after one week post intervention.........

Abstract: The physical activity report card of children and youth results indicated that among children and adolescents aged 5-17years old, only one half of Kenyan children and adolescents were engaging in sufficient levels of physical activity. Understanding the determinants of physical activity is an important pre-requisite to designing effective interventions in promoting physical activity. While a number of studies in developed countries have focused on these determinants of physical activity participation for able bodied adolescents (Katz, 2012; Pan, Cameron, DesMeules, Morrison, Craig & Jiang: 2009), little literature exist regarding influences of these determinants on adolescents with disabilities in middle income countries. Therefore this research aims at determining the determinants...........

Abstract: Usually, religion and spirituality are used interchangeably. However, religion and spirituality are two distinct aspects in determining higher life values. Religion is a personal set or institutionalised system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practises, whereas spirituality is a personal set or institutionalised system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practises. The word'spirituality' derives from the Latin word'spiritus,' which means 'life's breath.' As a result, spirituality refers to a one-of-a-kind, personally meaningful transcendent dimension experience linked to wholeness and wellness. It is a dynamic process including a search for meaning in one's life. Spirituality is a person's perspective on life's meaning, direction, and purpose, as well as their interconnection with other objects and people. Spirituality, according to Mahatma Gandhi, is a part of you; it is something that cannot be divorced from your thinking, doing, and being self. It's about who you are, your morals, values, and what makes you happy......
