Title | : | Design Development And Application of 3-Dimensional Schatz Geometry Kinematic Linkage For Uni- Directional Motion Mixer Machine |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | G.R.Gaikwad || S M Shinde |
Abstract:Powder/semisolid jellies mixing as demonstrated previously is an important step in the manufacturing process of many industrial products such as pharmaceuticals, foodstuffs, plastics, fertilizers, and ceramics. With the continuous improvement in methods, the course is open for the development of coherent chemical engineering research in particle technology and more specifically in Paint mixing. Paint mixing is conventionally done in a mixing machine with fixed container and a rotating blade. This method generates a vortex type action where in the particles of paint either move towards the periphery of container and tend to stick to walls of container that is stirrer of conventional mixer rotates in one direction only which create a particular flow pattern hence particles tend to stick to the wall of container due to centrifugal force or keep rotating in a regular a pattern of generator of cone resulting in a poor quality mixture.

Title | : | Modelling of Supporting Jig For Bead Rolling Machine |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Govind G. Varma || Namit S. Devidan || Prof. Pankaj K. Bhoyar |
Abstract:Bead roller machine is a machine which is used to form a groove on sheet by using bead rollers. It is a type of forming tool used in sheet metal work. This machine consists of two dies one male die (upper side) and other female die (lower side). Sheet is passed from between two dies. The two dies are placed one above the other, forming groove on the sheet metal. There are two roller support provided at each side of the mould for support .As there is no medium for workers to place those rollers correctly it becomes very difficult. Because of the rollers misalignment, sometimes dent gets formed on mould while making groove. This paper is on to eliminate this problem from the machine and to model proper supporting mechanism for bead rolling machine.

Title | : | Mechanical Properties of 7075 Aluminium Matrix Composites Reinforced By Silicon Carbide Particulates |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Jameerbasha M || Ganesh M || Vijayavardhana Reddy H |
Abstract:Aluminium composites reinforced by particles have received considerable attention because of their superior mechanical properties over monolithic aluminum matrix. Over the last ten years, nanocomposites with nano-sized reinforcements have become a revolutionary progress for composites because they have different strengthening mechanisms as compared to that in composites with micro-sized reinforcements. Consequently novel properties can be expected from the nanometric particulate reinforced composites. The aim of this project was to fabricate SiC (50nm)/7075 aluminium composites via a modified powder metallurgy and extrusion route. Ageing treatment was used to increase the strength of the composites and mechanical tests, including tensile test and abrasive wear test, were performed. The effects of nanometric silicon carbide particulates to the ageing behaviours and mechanical properties of the composites have been studied by optical metallography, scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.

Title | : | Static Analysis And Material Optimization of Submersible Pump Impeller Using FEA |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Mahesh Dhere || A. M. Badadhe || A. S. Patil |
Abstract:In general, the Efficiency of a submersible pump (ηo) = Mechanical efficiency (ηm) × Volumetric
efficiency (ηv). Most of the study has been done in the improvement of Hydraulic efficiency but overall efficiency
depends on both factors Hydraulic and Mechanical. Mechanical components – for example, impeller weight and
structure produce a mechanical loss that reduces the power transferred from the motor shaft to the pump or fan
impeller. Also, the strength of the pump reduces due to stress corrosion problems in impeller which can be
minimized using an alternate material having same/more strength. The modelling of the impeller will be done by
using solid modelling software.............

Title | : | Review Paper on Radiators By Using Different Nano-Fluid |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | Mr.Nanaware M.H || Dr. Hole J.A |
Abstract: Cooling system plays important roles to control the temperature of car's engine. One of the
important element in car cooling system is the radiator. Radiator plays an important role in heat exchange.
Conventional coolants like water, ethylene glycol are not efficient enough to improve the car's performance.
Therefore with the development of new technology in the field of 'nano-materials' and 'nano-fluids', it seems to
effectively use these technologies in car radiators to improve engine efficiency, reduce weight of vehicle and size
of radiator.

Authors | : | Nand Jee Kanu || Eva Gupta || Gaurav B. Bhor |
Abstract:The beginning of Electric Discharge Machine, EDM came during the Second World War, when two Russian physicists B.R. and N.I. Lazarenko published their study on The Inversion of the Electric Discharge Wear Effect. which related to the application to manufacturing technology of the capacity of electrical discharges, under controlled distribution, to remove metal.EDM was being used at that time to remove broken taps and drills. The early "Tap-Busters" disintegrated taps with hand fed electrodes, burning a hole in the center of the tap or drill, leaving the remaining fragments that could be picked out. This saved work pieces and very expensive parts from being scrapped and having to be made over again.This process opened the birth of Vertical EDM, also called: Sinker, Conventional, RAM, Plunge or Diesinker EDM's. These machines were, and still are primarily used to make precision cavities in metal primarily for the mold industry.

Title | : | Fabrication of Lifting Mechanism For Positioning The Leaf Spring of Heavy Duty Vehicle |
Country | : | India |
Authors | : | P.K.Shivankar || S.S.Parmar || R.T.Bhuyar |
Abstract:Leaf spring is a simple form of spring commonly used for the suspension in heavy duty vehicles. It takes a form of slender arc shaped spring steel of rectangular cross-section. For very heavy vehicles, a leaf spring is made of several leaves stacked on each other in several layers, often with progressively shorter leaves. For the heavy duty vehicle, scheduled maintenance is required to enhance the life of the vehicle and to ensure trouble-free service. The maintenance of leaf spring needs special attention. Leaf spring assembly is bulky in size. Due to its heavy weight and less space available for working below the bus or truck's chassis, it is very difficult to work on it. Also, it is very tedious to carry it to work area due to its heavy weight. To overcome these issues, lifting mechanism is to be fabricated which avails worker to assemble leaf spring easily and accurately. This mechanism ensures effective lifting as well as traverse movement of leaf spring to fix it at the desired position.
