Abstract::Speciation studies of essential and toxic metal ion complexes are useful in order to understand the role played by the active site cavities in biological molecules and the bonding behavior of their residues with metal ions. Hence chemical speciation of ternary complexes of Mg(II), Ca(II) and Zn(II) with L-Aspartic acid and Ethylenediamine have been studied pH-metrically in various concentrations (0–60%, v/v) of Dimethylformamide-water mixtures maintaining an ionic strength of 0.16 mol L–1 using NaCl as an electrolyte at 310 K to mimic the different.........
