Abstract: Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is one of the major microvascular complications in diabetes mellitus and is a leading cause of vision impairment worldwide. The condition usually arise due to the chronic exposure of retinal blood capillaries to high glucose, leading to dysruption in the tight junctions of retinal capillaries, increased vascular permeability, chronic inflammation, apoptosis, and neovascularization causing vitreous heamorrhage and tractional retinal detachment followed by irreversible vision loss. Proliferative diabetic retinopathy is the advanced stage of DR and is characterized by the formation of neovessels that are immature and leaky in nature....

Abstract: Background:The cyanobacterium Arthrospira platensis is a food source of high nutritional quality thanks to the diversity and richness of its constituents. However, its production in a synthetic medium is very costly given the excessively high mineral element requirements of this micro-alga. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of Musa paradisiaca peels crude extract on the growth, soluble protein content, general pigments and secondary metabolites quality of Arthrospira platensis....

Abstract: This study was designed to identify the phytochemicals from ethanolic extract of Syzygiumaromaticum(clove) using Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometery (GC-MS) analysis against cancer. Various anticancer medications have been discovered due to advances in the health care industry though they have adverse side-effects. Anticancer drugs derived from natural sources have low side effects, making them good for cancer therapy. This study aimed....
