Abstract: To be exist in the 21st century, every student must be able to compete. Therefore, every educator should carry out learning activities to develop the students' skills to compete. The implementation of scientific approach based learning is intended to encourage the students' high order thinking and to improve their skills to compete. This study examines the effects of the implementation of scientific approach based learning to the development of students' readiness to compete. The research was conducted at the high schools (SMA/SMK) in Jombang, East Java, which have been implementing scientific approach based learning. The subjects in this study were students in 10th grade academic year 2013/2014 and 11th grade academic year 2014/2015. The research sample was determined by using the technique of multi-stage sampling and clustering.

| Title | : | Impact of Reading Behaviour on Teacher Efficacy among Arts and Science College Teachers – A Predictive Model |

Abstract: The objective of the study was to examine the reading interest and reading behaviour among Arts and Science College teachers and to develop a model to predict Teacher Efficacy. Data was collected from a total of 1,305 teachers in Tamil Nadu state. Results showed that male teachers mostly read newspapers and female teachers preferred reading magazines and novel/fictions. English was the preferred language for male and Tamil for female teachers. Attitude towards reading was positively and significantly correlated with time spent for reading. Average time spent for reading by female teachers per day was significantly less (1.1 ± .6885 hrs.) compared to male teachers (1.893 ± 1.1218 hrs.).

Abstract: The purposes of this research are (1) to find out the students' activity during the implementation of SQ3R strategy on learning Reading Comprehension, and (2) to find out students' response during the implementation of SQ3R strategy on learning Reading Comprehension. All data are gained from observation sheets from two observers and questionarrie from 31 students. All data are analysed by using descriptive quantitative study. The result shows that the students' activity during its implementation is high, that is 3,97, and also in students' response is 0,93.

Abstract: Among based mentoring is a model that notice uniqueness of the person being mentored (tenant). Based on a very philosophical foundation, the mankind hastheir own character which different from others. Mentoring should be done individually with facilitation in accordance with tenants' problem. There are three models of mentoring namely Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodho, Ing Madyo Mangun Karso, and Tut Wuri Handayaniin accordance with the condition or potition of tenants. The research method is the Community-Based Research with One-group Pretest-Posttest Design (O1 X O2). Condition or position of tenants, before mentoring the average score on determinant two and three are 2.77, after mentoring the average score of determinant one is 3.12. Tenant capabilities progress is 13.74.%. The power of mentoring is 0.95 which means very strong.
