Abstract: With the use of time series data between 1995 and 2016, this study examines the effects of foreign direct investment (FDI) along with institutional qualityon economic growth in Nigeria. We use LSE-Henry‟s General to Specific Approach Technique. The results show significant positive effect of FDI on economic growth. Institutional quality tested with an interaction term reduces the growth effects of FDI. The findings from this interaction show statistically significant and robust results to different specifications. Based on this, we conclude that while FDI spur economic growth, decision makers in Nigeria need to also focus on ensuring quality institutions in order to fully benefit from FDI..

Abstract: Grammaticality (or grammaticalness) is a theoretical term. The conception of grammaticality rose next to the theory of generative grammar, the goal of which is to formulate rules that define well-formed, grammatical sentences. (https:||en.m.wikipedia.org) So, grammaticality has always connection with the rules that are important to make a well formed sentence. We can notice that in Bhojpuri and Maithili language, in some cases, by the help of some personal markers gender makes grammatical relation with the verb of a sentence. This grammatical relation seems as very important to make these types of sentences. Hence, in these languages, gender is partial grammaticality. In this paper, I am trying to discuss the gender of Bhojpuri and Maithili language as grammaticality..
Key words –Grammaticality, grammatical relation, gender, person, tense, personal marker

Abstract: The gradual dominance of American English has been noticed even in England not to talk of the other areas where the British Standard English is adopted as a model of speech and writing. On this note, this paper examined the scenario in Nigeria particularly through investigating the English writings of NCE students of Aminu Saleh College of Education Azare, Bauchi State. One hundred students, twenty from each of the five schools, were selected and instructed to write English essays on the topic of their choices. The essays were marked and three hundred and sixty seven (367) Americanisms were identified in the students' use of spelling, vocabulary and grammar. American spelling happened to be prevalent in the students' writings, representing 67.1% of the total number of Americanisms.........
